On Thursday night, U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan infuriated patriots everywhere by issuing an order preventing the distribution of videotaped depositions pertaining to the Hillary Clinton email scandal.
This comes after Clinton’s former chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, begged the judge to issue this order for political purposes, as she was afraid the footage from the depositions would be used in campaign ads for Donald Trump. Though Sullivan agreed to seal the tapes for the time being, he did release the transcripts of the depositions.
“The public has a right to know details related to the creation, purpose and use of the clintonemail.com system,” said Sullivan, according to Western Journalism. He added that sealing the tapes will only “avoid unnecessary briefing” going forward.
This order was handed down hours before Mills was set to appear before lawyers representing Judicial Watch, a conservative legal watchdog organization. On Friday, these lawyers are scheduled to question Mills on the setup and use of Clinton’s private server as part of a larger investigation into the matter.
