A former Miss Venezuela and Miss Universe is speaking out this week with some bombshell claims about Donald Trump that could hurt his campaign, especially among female voters.
According to Daily Mail, Alicia Machado was only 19 years-old when she won Miss Universe in 1996, shortly after Trump took over the pageant. However, when Machado gained 40 pounds after taking the crown, she claims Trump bullied her relentlessly, calling her “Miss Piggy” and an “eating machine.”
She also says Trump invited reporters for various media outlets to come watch her workout without telling her they would be there.
“She weighed 118 pounds or 117 pounds and she went to 160 or 170. So this is somebody that likes to eat,” Trump said at the time.
Trump was then asked if he’d divorce his then-wife Marla Maples if she gained that kind of weight.
“Well, I’d probably do the same thing with her,” he said. “I’d say ‘start working out.’ No, I wouldn’t. Still a very interesting question.”
Machado told reporters this week that Trump nicknamed her “Miss Housekeeping” because of her heavy Spanish accent.
“For sure he is not a nice person. He is a bully. He can’t be a president,” Machado said of Trump.
It should be noted that Machado is now a single mother who is pursuing a career in Hollywood, so she could be coming forward with these accusations just to get herself some publicity.
