It has just been revealed that anti-Trump groups and campaigns spent a whopping $75.7 million on 64,000 negative ads against Donald Trump during this election season, and it all backfired on them last night when the business mogul was named as the presumptive GOP presidential nominee last night anyway.
According to The Gateway Pundit, anti-Trump groups spent $75,723,580 on ads against The Donald on broadcast television alone. The tracking data doesn’t even include the thousands of anti-Trump ads that ran on cable and satellite.
Even more ironic is the fact that a pro-Marco Rubio group called Conservative Solutions PAC spent more money on anti-Trump ads then any other group. One out of every four of their dollars went towards funding anti-Trump ads, which they spent about $19.7 million on.
The pro-Jeb Bush super PAC Right to Rise USA spent almost $10 million on anti-Trump ads, and Hillary Clinton’s campaign has spent $5.2 million on commercials against the business mogul. Obviously, this figure is expected to rise now that Trump is the presumptive nominee.
