Megyn Kelly is a staple at Fox News, but an interview she gave on Tuesday suggests she may not be staying there for long.
According to Western Journalism, Kelly told reporters she is currently weighing her options as the end of her contract approaches at the end of next year.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen,” Kelly, 45, told Variety. “I’ve had a great 12 years here, and I really like working for Roger Ailes. I really like my show, and I love my team. But you know, there’s a lot of brain damage that comes from the job. There was probably less brain damage when I worked in the afternoon. I was less well known. I had far less conflict in my life.”
During a Sunday interview, CBS News’ Charlie Rose asked Kelly what her ideal job would be.
“How about if we merge a little Charlie Rose, a little Oprah, and a little me all together. And we serve that up as an hour? Wouldn’t you watch that?,” Kelly responded. “I’m not saying I want to leave Fox News, I’m saying I want to add — I think I’d like to add — to what I’m doing. But I have to figure it out, Charlie, because I don’t want to take away more time from my family.”
Kelly’s fame intensified this year with her bitter feud with Donald Trump, and the ordeal has clearly taken a toll on her. What do you think about the possibility of Kelly leaving Fox? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
