Ever since they entered the White House, the Obamas have taken great pleasure in spending millions of our tax dollars on lavish vacations for themselves.
This week, the cost of Obama’s infamous trip to Argentina has been revealed. Spoiler alert: it’s extremely disturbing.
President Obama, who was dancing in Argentina while the world was reeling from the terrorist attack on Brussels, cost U.S. tax payers about $1.4 million for his two-day trip to the South American nation, according to figures cited by the Washington Free Beacon.
During the trip, Obama urged Argentine youth not to worry about the intellectual disputes of communism vs. capitalism. This was after his visit to Cuba where he posed for pictures by a mural of Marxist Che Guevara.
Lodging for the president and White House staff totaled $115,588, while conference rooms cost $35,584. Another contract for hotel rooms cost $31,585, it reported. The Secret Service ran up bills of $120,782 for hotel rooms in Buenos Aires and $707,801 for transportation.
The trip cost $44,611 worth of use of Marine One, the presidential helicopter. Other transportation costs included contracts worth $68,597, $23,304, $4,789, $8,212, and $24,955. Transportation costs for journalists traveling with the president totaled $141,794.
A contract for “repair and maintenance for pool bathrooms” cost $50,218.
Contracts for Obama’s visit to Cuba have not been released except for one worth $18,400 for “POTUS press credentials.”
Overall, the costs total $1,392,368.
