GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump found himself in hot water with liberals once again this week when he told CNN host Anderson Cooper that “Islam hates us.”
“I think Islam hates us. There’s a tremendous hatred,” Trump said, according to Daily Mail. “We have to get to the bottom of it. There is an unbelievable hatred of us.”
Trump told Cooper that while all 1.6 billion Muslims may not despise America, it’s becoming increasingly hard to separate radical Islamic terrorism and the entire faith. When Cooper asked Trump if he believed the anger comes from the Islamic religion itself, the business mogul threw the question back at him.
“You’re gonna have to figure that out, OK?” Trump replied. “We have to be very vigilant. We have to be very careful. And we can’t allow people coming into this country who have this hatred of the United States.”
Trump went on to call the invasion of Iraq the “worst decision in the history of the United States.”
