A 20 year-old man has been arrested after he pledged his allegiance to Allah, but it’s what he planned to do next that is truly terrifying.
Enrique Dominguez, a Muslim man from Kendall, Florida, reportedly bought a shotgun and told a coworker he planned to bring it to work to kill all his fellow employees and his supervisor.
According to Western Journalism, Dominguez claimed he planned to carry out this mass shooting dressed as a comic book character.
“I will dress up as the Joker from the ‘Batman’ movie and bring the gun to work during my break,” the suspect told the co-worker, according to police reports.
Dominguez, who has a tattoo of the Joker on his shoulder, was arrested and accused of aggravated assault. A judge then ordered him to post $5,000 bond, and he was placed on house arrest pending his trial.
In addition, Dominguez showed his coworker graphic ISIS execution videos, and told him he had sworn his allegiance to Allah. When police raided his home, they found a clown mask, knives, gloves and plastic wrap. When they looked at Dominguez’s social media accounts, they found photos of him dressed as the Joker wielding a large knife. Another image showed him posing with 15 combat knives.
The Miami-Dade Police Homeland Security Bureau said they received a tip Dominguez had “expressed an intent to become radicalized,” which led to their investigation.
Dominguez’s attorney, however, claims his client is a “a good kid,” adding, “this may have been some Internet lashing out when you get frustrated with someone and you post things on the Internet.”
Unfortunately for the young Muslim, the judge wasn’t buying it.
“I’m absolutely convinced, there’s no argument you could make to me at this juncture that could change my determination,” the judge ruled.
