For the last few months, country music fans have been praying for singer Joey Feek, who is currently in hospice care after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Despite the fact that the odds are stacked against her, the 40 year-old singer has just revealed how she’s still finding beauty in her life amidst the cancer. According to Q Political, Joey admitted she would be willing to endure her battle with cervical cancer all over again “if that meant just one more person came to know Christ.”
Instead of tearing her away from God, Joey’s cancer has actually brought herself and her family even closer to Christ. In fact, it has restored her own father’s faith in God. It wasn’t until she entered hospice care in October that he fully gave himself over to the lord.
“Now all of my family believes. And all of my family, when we die, we’re going to see each other again. I told my dad, ‘I would go through all of this again, if that meant one person came to Christ because of it. The fact that my daddy did, Dad, I would do it all over. I’m so proud of you. When I die, I’m going to be looking for you. And I want you to know, that after you hug my brother (Justin, who died in a car accident in 1994), I’m going to be next in line.”
Joey’s selflessness throughout her illness has been truly touching. PLEASE keep Joey and her family in your thoughts and prayers!
