An illegal immigrant from the United Arab Emirates was recently arrested in Florida, and what happened next proves Donald Trump was right all along…
According to Conservative Tribune, 25-year-old Hamid Mohamed Ahmed Ali Rehaif was arrested after he was found living in a hotel in Melbourne, Florida. He was charged with unlawfully possessing ammunition, which could get him ten years in prison as well as automatic deportation.
Rehaif had been living in the hotel for the last 53 days, checking in and out each day and spending over $53,000 in room fees. He has admitted to police that he was in possession of various firearms, which is a felony for an illegal immigrant. However, he also claims to have recently sold or disposed of all the weapons.
“Agents located rounds of handgun and rifle ammunition in his hotel room and in a storage unit that he had rented, but they did not locate any firearms,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a press release.
Rehaif came to the U.S. on a student visa in 2013 and he enrolled in the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne. However, he was dismissed from the school in 2014, and when he failed to leave the country within 30 days of that dismissal, he officially became an illegal immigrant.
Why he remained in America, what he was doing with those firearms, and what he was planning for the future all remain a mystery at this time. However, stories like this make Trump’s idea to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. seem like a VERY good idea!
