Military aircrafts will be taking to the skies of the Northern Plains this week for the first large-scale exercise of it’s kind.
The mysterious exercise in the 35,000-square-mile Powder River Training Complex will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, and it will feature bombers, fighter jets and refueling tankers practicing maneuvers in the air. According to the Great Falls Tribune, the exercise will happen over states like Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas.
This comes after the Federal Aviation Administration approved quadrupling the training airspace in March after years of construction. While some say it will help military training and reduce cost, others are worried it will disrupt the local towns and civilian flights.
The military has refused to disclose how many airplanes will be involved in the exercise, or to say exactly what they are training for. This has caused many to become suspicious that this is a dry run for martial law, something that Obama has been trying to put into place for years now.
The exercises will happen from 10 to noon both days, and local airports have been informed that the military will take full control of the airspace during that time. What do you think they could be planning here? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
