Waitress Sues Restaurant After Manager Says Her Butt Is ‘Too Hot’ For Work

A 24 year-old hostess at a Manhattan restaurant has accused her coworkers of sexually harassing her because she looked “too hot” in her jeans.

Vanessa Lopez claims her manager told her off for the way she looked in the pants, which led to her coworkers calling her names and touching her in an inappropriate manner. According to Daily Mail, Lopez has accused the female manager of being “jealous” of her appearance.

Lopez has filed an official complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission over the incidents, which occurred this past summer. The young student had been working at Pigalle, in Manhattan’s Theater District, since 2013, and she had no problems there until the summer of this year.

It all started when staffers were told to dress casually for a sporting event, and Lopez showed up in jeans and a jersey.

“The minute she saw me, she looked me up and down and said, ‘I don’t like the way they look on you. You’re too much'” Ms Lopez told the New York Post.

The manager later announced that the casual clothing day had been cancelled due to the fashion choices of some staff members.

“She looked at me when she said it,” Lopez lamented, adding that afterwards the kitchen staff started, “calling her slutty names and grabbing her.”

The restaurant has refused to comment on this incident.
