A disturbing new video shows women who were loyal to President Assad being paraded through the streets of Damascus by ISIS as they are used as human shields for air strikes.

According to Daily Mail, at least 100 cages are being used to carry hostages around the city in the hopes of deterring future strikes. Video footage shows terrified women standing helpless inside thick metal cages.

“We wish that the Russian warplanes never shell civilians again,” female hostage Mervat Ali told the camera. “We are experiencing fear here with the people.”

Around 500 Assad have reportedly been rounded up by ISIS militants, and hostages of both genders are now being used as shields. This is just the latest example of the shameless brutality of ISIS.
