A British supermodel is fighting back after a hospital sent her home with something sickening.
Model Sallie Axl recently entered St. Mary’s Hospital in Manchester after suffering from a miscarriage. According to Conservative Tribune, the hospital then sent her home with her dead fetus in a plastic bag.
Axl, 27, suffered her miscarriage on July 17, but she has only just now gathered the strength to publicly talk about her ordeal. The model claims the hospital had no compassion for her, and that she almost died from an infection she developed because the hospital did not remove her fetus quickly enough.
“The hospital didn’t remove my child and left the baby to infect me — causing me to have a haemorrhage (sic), losing 40 percent of my blood,” the model said.
“My veins were collapsing and I was taken into emergency surgery — I didn’t have long left to live and have honestly never been so scared in my life,” she continued. “When I woke up in blood stained bed and gown it took days for the nurses to change them leaving me in the reminders of the miscarriage and blood all over the floor.”
Axl claimed she was given her dead fetus in a plastic bag with “another bag of medicines and sent on my way home to grieve.”
“My dead baby was treated no more than someone handing me over a takeaway,” she added.
