Trump Got Some Unexpected News Right Before the Debate

Last night was the second GOP debate, and afterwards frontrunner Donald Trump was declared the undisputed winner once again.

Perhaps Trump went into this debate with an extra bit of confidence after he found some support in the unlikeliest of places. Though Hollywood has turned it’s back on Trump, the world of sports appears to be embracing him this month.

Last week, NFL legend Tom Brady officially came out as a Trump supporter, telling reporters that he thinks the business mogul would make a great president. When the football player was asked if Trump will win, he didn’t hold back with his response.

“I hope so,” Brady said, according to ESPN. “It would be great. There would be a putting green on the White House lawn, I’m sure of that.”

Brady wasn’t the only sports figure to come out as a Trump supporter. Hall of Fame Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka also revealed that he is a Trump supporter recently, saying that he believes Trump is “on the right track.”

“I do like Donald Trump,” Ditka said, according to Politico. “I think he, sometimes he’s gotta think a little bit more before he says things, but I think he’s on the right track.”

“I think that he has the fire in his belly to make America great again and probably do it the right way,” he added. “I do like him, yes. I do like him.”

Trump repaid the support of Brady and Ditka, as well as Coach Bobby Knight, with a tweet after the debate:
