Donald Trump made an appearance at the Iowa State football game last weekend, and at a tailgate for the game, things got messy between some of Trump’s supporters and detractors…
According to Conservative Tribune, it all started when Trump-hater Jovani Rubio was spotted holding a poster that read, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.”
Shelby Mueller, 20, a young woman who loves Trump, can be seen trying to figure out what to do about Rubio along with her friends. At one point, she can be heard reading another protester’s sign, which read, “A vote for Trump is a vote for white supremacy.”
Seconds later, Mueller marched up to Rubio and ripped his sign in half as Trump supporters cheered her on.
Rubio, who is a member of Students Against Bigotry, taped the sign back together. Unfortunately for him, another woman walked up and wrote “I love Donald Trump” on it.
“I knew if I were to react the way she wanted me to, I would only prove them right,” Rubio said stubbornly afterwards. “If she rips it in half, I’m going to put it back together and put it up.”
Mueller later apologized to Rubio for her actions.
