For the last few weeks, we have been reporting on Donald Trump, who found himself the target of liberal backlash after he criticized the U.S.’s relationship with Mexico during his campaign announcement.
While many didn’t take Trump seriously as a presidential candidate at the beginning, that all changed last week when polls revealed that Trump is currently the frontrunner in the race for the GOP nomination. Despite his success, the GOP establishment has been on a mission to take Trump down because he refuses to let them control him.
Despite the fact that he recently attacked her former running mate John McCain, Sarah Palin recently risked her entire career with the GOP to defend Trump from the attacks against him. On Monday, Trump returned the favor by saying that he would love to have the former Alaska Governor in his cabinet.
According to Mediaite, radio host Kevin Scholla asked Trump during an interview whether he could see himself “picking up the phone, giving the governor [Palin] a call and picking her brain on some things, or perhaps having her along in some official capacity.”
“I’d love that,” Trump replied. “Because she really is somebody who knows what’s happening and she’s a special person, she’s really a special person and I think people know that.”
“Everybody loves her,” he later said, adding that voters “like the Sarah Palin kind of strength, you just don’t see very much of it anymore.”
Considering Palin’s passion for “going rogue,” it should come as no surprise that her and Trump may be teaming up.
