Over the last few months, we have been reporting on Operation Jade Helm, a military training exercise set to take place across Texas this summer in which military personnel will operate covertly among the American public.
Many see this as a dry run for martial law and have connected it to the mysterious Walmart closings. Since the operation was announced, patriotic Texans have been letting their uncomfortable feelings about this known all across the state.
Last week, Texas leaders came forward to say that they are not comfortable with Operation Jade Helm being conducted in their state. Now, a new movement has been formed to rebel against Obama’s precious military operation.
According to Conservative Tribune, a group of patriotic Texans have formed a movement they call, “Counter Jade Helm,” and it’s purpose is to keep tabs on the top secret exercise.
The leader of the Texas surveillance division of Counter Jade Helm is Eric Johnston, a 51 year-old former firefighter and sheriff’s deputy who leads twenty volunteers in keeping tabs on the exercise. They will be monitoring U.S. troops in the Texas cities of Bastrop, Big Spring and Junction when the operation begins on July 15.
“If a team member sees two Humvees full of soldiers driving through town, they’re going to follow them,” Johnston said. “And they’re going to radio back their ultimate location.”
Johnston told the press that while he doesn’t believe the exercise is a dry run for martial law, he does believe that the secrecy the government has surrounded the operation with means it can’t be trusted.
Counter Jade Helm was started by Pete Lanteri, a 44-year-old former Marine who resides in Arizona.
“We’re going to be watching what they do in the public,” Lanteri commented. “Obviously on a military base they can do whatever they want. But if they’re going to train on public land we have a right as American citizens to watch what they’re doing.”
Obama was definitely never expecting Americans to come together like this to take on Jade Helm, so it remains to be seen how he will respond to this.
