Roho Hartman was driving in Oklahoma this week when he was suddenly forced off the road by flooding caused by Tropical Storm Bill. He was heading back to his house when he came upon a flooded road, and made the bad judgment call of trying to drive through it.
“There was a car on the other side..he went through it,” Hartman told KFOR-TV. “I thought — I believe I’d make it to.”
Unfortunately, he didn’t make it, and he soon found himself trying to push his truck out of waist-deep water. Then, out of nowhere, a Dodge van pulled up with some tow rope, and Hartman was stunned by who he saw at the wheel.
“The guy said, ‘Are you ready?’” Hartman recounted, according to The Blaze. “I thought — that looks like Blake Shelton.”
It turned out that it was indeed Blake Shelton himself. The country music star stopped to help get Hartman’s truck out of the water, then drove the fan back to his house.
“I said hey, could you give me a ride home?’” Hartman later told the press. “He said ‘where do you live’…I said, ‘just right over yonder.’”
Hartman immediately called his wife to tell her what happened.
“I said, ‘You wouldn’t believe it, Blake Shelton pulled me out,’” Hartman said. “Told her ‘you better slick up, we’ll be there in just a minute.’”
Hartman and his wife took a few pictures with Shelton at their home before he left.
“It was great, he’s a good fella I think, I like him,” Hartman concluded.
We’re glad to see that Shelton is as down to Earth and generous as he appears to be on TV!
