The White House press briefing came to a screeching halt today when Secret Service agents ran in and evacuated the briefing following a bomb threat.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest returned to the White House press offices as reporters were told to leave the exit room immediately. As they ran out, agents with bomb sniffing dogs swarmed the building.
According to Breitbart, Secret Service agents covered video cameras that were left running in the briefing room. Reporters who had been evacuated gathered in the Executive Office Building tunnel to await news.
Twenty minutes after the evacuation, Earnest tweeted that they had been given the all clear and that the briefing would resume. No other details were given about the bomb threat, or who issued it.
