A senior NATO official has warned that we will likely be at war this summer, and that we will be very lucky if it isn’t nuclear.
The anonymous official dropped the bombshell while talking to NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler.
According to Infowars, the statement likely refers to the growing tensions between the U.S. and Russia. Some experts are saying that this was a “deliberate leak” by NATO sources to “emphasize how serious the situation is.”
Earlier this month, NATO launched the “biggest wargame exercise ever” just outside of Russia. Enraged, Russia responded by conducting “provocative” wargames of their own in the Mediterranean Sea with help from China.
The statement may also refer to the growing tensions between the U.S. and China. On Tuesday, The Global Times, an outlet owned by China’s communist party, warned that “war is inevitable” if the U.S. does not cease their demands that Beijing discontinue building small islands in the South China Sea.
“If the United States’ bottom line is that China has to halt its activities, then a U.S.-China war is inevitable in the South China Sea,” the newspaper said. “The intensity of the conflict will be higher than what people usually think of as ‘friction.'”
