Meet Travers Benyon, the Australian tobacco tycoon who is also known as “The Candyman.” Dubbed the Australian Hugh Hefner, he is now under fire for some controversial photos that he posted to his Instagram account.
Benyon lives in a multi-million dollar waterfront mansion where sexy, bikini-clad women audition to be his “angels.” According to New York Daily News, he even walks his wife Taesha around their home on a leash and shares a bed with her and her “bestie.”
Though his life may seem like a dream for men everywhere, Taesha’s grandparents have accused Benyon of running a “borderline cult” that is a poisonous environment for Taesha and their four children.
“We’re shattered,” Graham Appleby told A Current Affair. “We don’t spend our time looking at (his Instagram) because it breaks our heart.”
Benyon met Taesha when she was just 18 years and three months old. During their wedding, Benyon joked that he missed going to jail by three months. He has two children with Taesha and two with his first wife, former Miss World Ninibeth Leal.
“I just want to … pull Taesha and the girls out of there,” said Taesha’s grandmother Yvonne Appleby, who added that she has never been allowed to meet her great-grandchildren.
One particularly disturbing photo of Taesha shows her serving as a nude food platter with people eating off of her.
Benyon, however, doesn’t see anything wrong with his lifestyle at home.
“My vision was always to develop and create a more entertaining party event — something akin to a Disneyland that adults could enjoy coupled with a similar hysteria to ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’ for children,” Beynon said in a statement.
