George Zimmerman was shot on Monday during an altercation with a man in Florida.
The incident occurred in Lake Mary, where Zimmerman was seen walking to an ambulance after suffering a gunshot wound. A bullet hole was seen by witness in the window of his car.
“He walked normally into the ambulance, so he wasn’t being helped or nothing,” witness Ricardo Berrare told the press.
Zimmerman, 31, is known as the former neighborhood watch officer who shot and killed Trayvon Martin in March of 2013. He was later acquitted of Martin’s murder, much to the chagrin of liberal race-baiters. Afterwards, he said he felt no guilt about Martin’s death because he knew he had done nothing wrong.
“Only in a true life-and-death scenario can you have mental clearness to know that you cannot feel guilty for surviving,” he said, according to Daily Mail.
Since his acquittal, Zimmerman has had numerous run-ins with the law. In September of 2013, his estranged wife Shellie Zimmerman called the police claiming that her husband had attacked her father with a gun. She later declined to press charges.
Two months later, Zimmerman was arrested for domestic violence after his girlfriend Samantha Scheibe called police. She also later decided not to press charges.
In September of 2014, Zimmerman was arrested after a road rage incident in which he threatened a truck driver.
“Do you know who I am?” he asked the trucker before saying, “I’ll (expletive) kill you.”
In January of this year, he was arrested once again for throwing a wine bottle at his girlfriend. All charges from this incident were later dropped.
Police say Zimmerman’s gunshot wound from this incident is only minor, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
