The Walmart Situation Just Got a Lot Stranger

2,200 Walmart workers in four different states were suddenly laid off this week and were given just a few hours notice.
At around 2 p.m. last Tuesday, employees in Texas, California, Florida and Oklahoma were told they must gather their things and leave by the end of the day, as the store would be closing. The employees were offered no explanation.
“Everybody just panicked and started crying,” said Venanzi Luna, a manager of the deli department at a Wal-Mart in Pico Rivera, California, where 295 full-time employees and 248 part-time workers were laid off.
The explanation that was given is extremely fishy due to the suddenness of it, and the fact that it happened in stores across four different states. Employees aren’t the only ones that are suspicious about this, customers are as well.
“It’s a little too convenient that they all have the same problems at the same time, and their employees are laid off,” said Joe Price, a diabetic who relies on the Pico Rivera Walmart pharmacy. “This shows the true face of Walmart… I will never shop at Walmart again.”
In the past few days, a number of theories have been presented in an attempt to explain what Walmart is really doing here. The most popular one is that this has something to do with Operation Jade Helms, a Special Operations military exercise that runs from July 15-September 15. It is intended to “refine the skills needed against an ever changing foreign threat,” but many are saying that it is the U.S. government testing out martial law.
Because Walmart stores are so huge, they would be perfect to conduct various military exercises like this in.
As we previously reported, others believe that the stores area closing so that the government can perform FEMA training.
Walmarts in Pico Rivera, California, Livingston, Texas, Midland, Texas, Brandon, Florida, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, all made the announcement, causing many to link the closures to Jade Helm, the military exercise which some fear is a rehearsal for martial law.
“A Walmart would make a perfect FEMA detention facility … see ya in the camps!” said one respondent, according to Infowars.
Others say that the Walmarts are being closed down to be decontaminated after receiving radioactive food from the Fukushima area. A more likely theory is that the Walmarts failed to adhere to construction codes and were forced to close down so they could remove chemicals like asbestos.
