Houston police fatally shot a suspect in a car chase on live TV Wednesday morning.

According to The Blaze, the incident began as a traffic stop, but it quickly turned into a chase that lasted 30 minutes. News helicopters flew in to cover the chase live for local news outlets.

The chase came to a brutal end when the suspect’s car rammed into two other vehicles head on. He then exited the vehicle and appeared to reach back into his car. Viewing this as a threat, police opened fire.

The suspect died at the scene, and cameramen captured a white sheet being placed over his body.

This shooting came during a tense time for police. Triggered by the shootings of Michael Brown and Walter Scott, cops all over the country are now under a microscope as all their actions are monitored and analyzed.
