A few weeks ago, Obama revealed his ridiculous budget plan for the new fiscal year to congress, and in return the Senate just gave him some bad news.
Obama’s plan can only be described as delusional, since it only increased taxes and spending while ignoring the annual budget deficit and our insanely large national debt.
This week, the Senate brought Obama’s plan to the floor, and quickly voted against it by a vote of 98-1. The only person to vote in favor of Obama’s plan was Tom Carper, a Democrat from Delaware.
“Since 2011, it’s only gotten two votes for the president’s proposed budget, 1,023 votes against,” Texas Senator John Cornyn, according to Conservative Tribune.
Even the Democrats in congress see that Obama’s budget plans are so far removed from reality that they would be impossible to support.
As for the president himself, he likely will not be too phased by congress’s decision. Obama has made up his mind that he doesn’t need congress, and that he has no respect for their opinions on anything. Obama will continue to hatch his own plans and tax us all into the ground until the day he mercifully leaves office in 2016. We can’t wait!
