Over the last few weeks, federal Judge Andrew Hanen has been taking a stand against Obama by doing everything he can to block the president’s amnesty plan.
The government lied to Hanen when they gave over 100,000 illegal immigrants legal status despite a pending injunction and lawsuit. Texas attorneys have now teamed up with 25 other states to sue Obama’s government, and during a court hearing on Thursday, they called them out for lying.
“This was done to preserve the status quo and to prevent irreparable damage to the state,” said Angela Colmonero of the Texas District Attorney’s Office, referring to the cost that the individuals would bring and to the incentive for further illegal immigration. “You can’t put toothpaste back in the tube.”
Colmonero said that the Department of Justice told Hanen during hearings that if an injunction was filed nothing would happen. This turned out to be a lie.
“The defendant did the exact opposite and gave 100,000 renewals for a term of three years under the expanded DACA,” Colmonero said, according Breitbart. “The defendant didn’t inform the court until March 3—15 days after the injunction was filed.”
Department of Justice Kathleen Hardeck appeared to be nervous when confronted with her lies, especially when Hanen spoke up.
“When I asked you what would happen and you said nothing I took it to heart,” Hanen said. “I was made to look like an idiot. I believed your word that nothing would happen.”
We applaud Judge Hanen for continuing to have the courage to attack Obama personally. Not many judges would be brave enough to do that. Obama better watch out, because Judge Hanen isn’t about to let him off the hook!
