Man Arrested For Defending His Home From Armed Thugs – Here’s How It Happened

A North Carolina man is facing charges after he used his gun to defend his home from armed intruders.
Harold Williams, 42, was sitting in his home in Fayetteville on Friday evening when Roy Lee Hawk, 27, and Martize Douglas, 23, broke into his home armed with guns and demanding all the money in the house. Thinking quickly, Williams grabbed his gun and shot both intruders, successfully defending his home. Three days later, Hawk is in critical condition and Douglas is in serious condition.
Unfortunately, instead of being hailed as a hero, Williams has been arrested and charged with gun possession. According to Daily Mail, police say he is a convicted felon and is therefore not supposed to own a gun, so he is now facing felony charges or possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Meanwhile, Hawk and Douglas have been charged with breaking and entering, common law robbery and felonious conspiracy.
Quite frankly, this case makes us sick. Williams was merely exercising his second amendment right to bear arms. Had he not done so, he would likely be dead today. Instead of hailing him as the hero he is, our liberal, politically correct society want to make an example out of him and use him to scare Americans away from buying guns.
Harold Williams, we support you, and we’re glad you were able to defend yourself and your home.
