Legendary actor Harrison Ford crashed one of his vintage airplanes on a golf course on Thursday afternoon. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The crash occurred at 2:24 p.m. at the Penmar Golf Course in Venice California. Ford was conscious and alert at the scene, but he was rushed to UCLA Hospital in critical condition.
According to Daily Mail, his condition was later downgraded to fair or moderate. Witnesses say that it looked like Ford was trying to land when the crash occurred.
“He was flying pretty low and it was a distinctive yellow color,” a witness said. “He then went inland over Venice and I saw him turn round, the engine sounded fine and the weather was absolutely clear and fine.”
“He seemed to be enjoying a little sightseeing as when he was flying along the beach I noticed him tip his wings so that he would have a better view of the beach,” she added. “He was buzzing around the area for ages.”
The 72 year-old Indiana Jones star has been an avid pilot for years, and this is the first time he has been involved in a crash.
