A massive Obama scandal has been discovered that could get the president some serious jail time.
Fox News’ senior judicial analyst and former Judge Andrew Napolitano has announced that Obama’s decision to release five Taliban leaders from Guantanamo Bay last summer is constituted treason.
According to Conservative Tribune, Napolitano argues that Obama “aided and abetted” a known terrorist group by providing them with “material support” when he released the terrorists. These releases were made in conjunction with millions of dollars for the release of American soldier Bowe Bergdahl, whose own platoon-mates admit that he was a deserter. An investigation has been completed into these claims, but the White House refuses to release the verdict.
While much has been said about the Bergdahl trade sending the wrong message to terrorists in that it will only encourage them to kidnap more Americans, releasing the Guantanamo inmates may have been downright illegal.
“Fact: The Taliban has been declared by the Congress and the president to be a non-state terrorist organization,” the judge said. “Fact: Federal statute makes it a crime, punishable by ten years in jail up to life in prison, for materially aiding a terrorist organization. Fact: the courts have ruled that any assistance knowingly and intentionally provided to a terrorist organization by an American makes that American liable for prosecution under this statute.”
Judge Napolitano has concluded that Obama did indeed provide direct support and assistance to an enemy of this country. This constitutes treason and carries a prison sentence of 10 years to life.
