BREAKING: ISIS Releases ANOTHER Beheading Video
January 20, 2015 10:37am PST
ISIS has released a new video threatening to behead two hostages, and this time they are targeting a new country.
The terrorist group has two Japanese hostages, and they have threatened to behead them if they don’t receive $200 million in 72 hours.
The two hostages have been identified as Kenji Goto Jogo and Haruna Yukawa. The former is a journalist known for putting his own life at risk to get a good story. The latter is a self-proclaimed military consultant who has been traveling the world since losing his wife to cancer.
Yukawa, 42, has a history of self mutilation and suicide attempts since his military goods business went bankrupt and his wife died. According to Daily Mail, he even considered cutting off his penis to make up for his failures, but instead decided to “live as a woman and leave the rest to destiny.”
Yukawa earned some serious attention in Japan when ISIS released a video of him last August being roughly interrogated by his captors.
Goto is a 47 year-old freelance journalist who has been missing since October, when he told his family he was eager to return to Japan.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has promised that the country will not cooperate with terrorists.
“I strongly demand that they not be harmed and that they be immediately released,” he said in a press conference. “The international community will not give in to terrorism and we have to make sure that we work together.”
