Over 130,000 pages of the Air Force’s declassified UFO documents have hit the internet, and what they have to say is shocking.
The documents are from Project Blue Book, the Air Force project on UFOs that ran from 1947-1969. In that time, the project amassed 12,618 recorded sightings. According to Fox News, 701 of those sightings remain “unidentified” to this day.
The documents have actually been available to the public on microfilm for quite some time now, but this is the first time they have all been available through a searchable online database. They were posted online by John Greenewald, a UFO enthusiast who thought the public needed to see them.
“People have this fascination when it comes to UFOs,” Greenewald said. “We can have our speculation that it’s top secret, but we simply don’t know.”
