A California father was arrested last Friday night after throwing his daughter an alcohol-fueled playboy-themed 18th birthday party.
Jeff Lake hosted his daughter Olivia’s “Liv’s Playboy Mansion” party at their home, and it was attended by 150-200 people. Things quickly got out of hand, as underage girls posed in raunchy photos in playboy bunny outfits.
In the end, it was all the underage drinking that sealed Lake’s fate. Officers were called to the scene due to noise, and they immediately observed underage teens wandering around drunk with alcoholic beverages in their hands. Inside the home, two teens were found to be unconscious.
Lake was arrested on social host ordinance violation charges, which carry a potential six month jail sentence. Local Mayor spoke out slamming Lake and fathers like him.
“You have a party like this and it’s as though you’re handing out hand grenades as party favors,” Vaus said. “It’s a disaster waiting to happen.”
“I’d like to put a scarlet letter in front of the homes of people that do this, to say you can’t trust these folks, they make bad decisions related to kids’ safety,” he added.
Lake is a lawyer with a medical marijuana focus, and his wife Jacki is the former president of the PTA at her daughter’s school. She recently called Olivia “the baddest b*tch in town” in a twitter post. In another, she warned Olivia “now don’t get arrested” as she encouraged her to party.
