Just before midnight this New Years Eve, Taylor Swift posted a video that has scored over 5.2 million YouTube views in two days, showing an amazingly intimate respect and dedication to her fans for Christmas 2014. The video shows Swift personally wrapping and preparing presents in her New York City apartment with her two cats to be mailed out to her friends- each with a personalized card written by the pop-star singer herself.
The quirky Law and Order opening to the video explains that after the release of the 1989 album, Swift began “Tayl-lurking” – using social media to learn ‘every detail’ about her biggest fans’ lives.
After her investigation was complete, Taylor would leave “a single Santa emoji” on their media account, marking them as having been selected to receive a special something from Ms. Swift.
“Large FedEx boxes began to appear on the doorsteps of certain fans in what became tenderly referred to as ‘Swiftmas.'”
However, Swift had a special surprise for one fan in mind that she had met before. Claiming that she had never met the fan’s young son, Swift is seen driving all the way to Connecticut to hand deliver the gifts and spend time with the family.
Though Swift is mum about religious and political views, her heart seems to lovingly follow charity and compassion.
