Six people were shot Tuesday night at a St. Louis bar that is known for being frequented by police.
Three robbers barged into the Pooh’s Corner bar at around 11 p.m., and ordered everyone to get on the floor. One of the armed thugs then shot a female customer in the head, at which point an off-duty police officer drew his weapon and shot the suspect.
A shootout quickly ensued that left three other customers, including the off-duty cop, with non-life threatening injuries. One of the robbers was shot in the eye, and the other two immediately fled the scene.
Hours later, one of the suspects turned up with gunshot wounds at a local hospital. At first, he claimed he was shot at another location, but he eventually admitted to perpetrating the robbery.
The female patron who was shot in the head is currently in serious condition.
