Ferguson authorities are perplexed by the strange murder of DeAndre Joshua, whose body was found on Tuesday morning near where Michael Brown’s was killed in August.

Joshua, 20, was found dead inside a parked car just two blocks from where the Michael Brown murder took place. Now, rumors are swirling that Joshua testified as an eyewitness to this killing in front of the grand jury, and that he himself was murdered as retribution for this testimony.

“DeAndre Joshua, 20, fits the social profile of an eye-witness who gave a police/FBI statement and testified before the Grand Jury in the Mike Brown shooting case,” writes the Conservative Treehouse blog. “He was an employed black male, with no history of drug use or illicit behavior. He was also a friend of Dorian Johnson who is currently under protection.”

Joshua’s family is “positive his death is tied to the demonstrations over a grand jury’s decision not to indict Michael Brown’s killer.”

Since the grand jury decision was revealed on Monday, there have been many reports of threats to witnesses by the community. Certain witnesses have broken contact with police, not wanting to be seen with detectives “for fear of retaliation.”

“While officials would not say if Joshua was in fact, a witness to the shooting death of Michael Brown, nor if he actually provided testimony to the grand jury which ultimately cleared Officer Darren Wilson of any wrongdoing in the shooting, his murder does point to a retribution-type killing,” reports UFP News.

If Joshua was indeed murdered for his connection to the Ferguson grand jury, the other witnesses are going to need some serious protection to escape the Ferguson protesters…

What do you think of this possible act of retaliation? Sound off in the comments below!
