During a very heated interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani angered professor and MSNBC contributor Michael Eric Dyson, by stating something hated by liberals far and wide: fact. Guiliani remarked that there is a disproportionate amount of attention placed on white police forces in minority communities, when you consider a far more prevalent problem: black-on-black violence.
“I find it very disappointing that you’re not discussing the fact that 93 percent of blacks in America are killed by other blacks. We’re talking about the exception here,” said Giuliani, referring to the police forces in the United States where the number of white officers is disproportionate to the minority community they serve. “I’d like to see the attention paid to [black-on-black violence], that you are paying to this.”
Of course, this immediately infuriated Dyson. “First of all, most black people who commit crimes against other black people go to jail,” he responded. “Number two, they are not sworn by the police department as agents of the state to uphold the law….White people who kill black people do not go to jail.” That’s right, in Dyson’s parallel universe, white people get to kill all the blacks they want without consequence.
“It’s hardly insignificant. It is the reason for the heavy police presence in the black community,” said Giuliani regarding the staggering rate of black-on-black violence. It’s also the reason that more cops aren’t black – they’re too busy murdering each other.
“What about the poor black child that is killed by another black child? Why aren’t you protesting that?” questioned Giuliani. “Why don’t you cut [crime] down so so many white police officers don’t have to be in black areas?… The white police officers wouldn’t be there if you weren’t killing each other.”

Guiliani referenced his own city, where 75 percent of violent crimes are committed by blacks, but Dyson dismissed it as “the defensive mechanism of white supremacy in his mind.” Sorry, Dyson, the numbers don’t lie. They have nothing to do with white supremacy, but it wouldn’t be a discussion with a liberal unless some form of race-baiting was employed.
Unfortunately, Dyson is one of the liberal buffoons in progressive academia who is shaping the minds of America’s young adults. That notion is perhaps even more disturbing than the black-on-black crime statistics.
