Sadie Robertson made it into the finals of Dancing With The Stars on Monday after a performance in which she honored God.
“The most important thing in my heart is God,” a 5 year-old Sadie said in an old home video shown on the show before her dance.
Sadie’s grandmother, Mama Kay Robertson, was also featured in the segment prior to her dance.
“Sadie always loved God and she wasn’t afraid to talk about it,” the proud grandma said in the interview.
Sadie then performed two dances with partner Mark Ballas. The first was a quickstep that earned her 37 out of 40 points. The reality TV star’s second dance was an Argentine tango, which also garnered her 37 out of 40 points.
The Duck Dynasty teen further demonstrated her faith in her second dance. The tango is typically a sultry, seductive form of dance, but Sadie and Mark place a guitar between them to act as a “chaperone” of sorts.
“What I actually loved was the guitar. I thought that was innovative, ” judge Julianne Hough said, before giving the pair a perfect 10. “I thought it created a barrier so that it wasn’t super passionate-romantic. That’s what I love about you is that you stay true to who you are and that is what’s authentic and that’s what people love.”
In the end, it came down to Sadie and comedic performer Tommy Chong for a spot in the final four, but eventually the teen was declared safe.
This means that next week, Sadie will compete with actors Janel Parish and Alfonso Ribeiro and youtube personality Bethany Mota for the coveted Dancing With The Stars trophy.
