Yesterday a video was released showing Officer Darren Wilson going to the hospital after being attacked by Michael Brown. Accompanied by his union lawyer and fellow officers, Wilson is shown leaving the Ferguson police station for the hospital.
There is also a second video showing Wilson returning to the police station two-and-a-half hours after his hospital trip.
After Officer Wilson’s confrontation with 18-year-oldMike Brown earlier this year, he sustained injuries to his face. This presents a different view of the incident from the original thought that Wilson had slaughtered Brown without cause, sparking a civil unrest in which the Ferguson community claimed that the justice system was racist.
After forensic analysis and eyewitness accounts, it was determined that Wilson was hit and injured in the attack, that the side of his face was swollen.
However, law enforcement officials say witnesses and forensic analysis have shown that Officer Wilson did sustain an injury during the struggle in the car…
“It was something strange,” said [eyewitness Michael] Brady, 32, a janitor. “Something was not right. It was some kind of altercation. I can’t say whether he was punching the officer or whatever. But something was going on in that window, and it didn’t look right.”…
According to his account to the Ferguson police, Officer Wilson said that Mr. Brown had lowered his arms and moved toward him, law enforcement officials said. Fearing that the teenager was going to attack him, the officer decided to use deadly force.
