Sadie Robertson returned to the dance floor on Monday night to give two performances on Dancing With The Stars, but the first one didn’t quite go as planned…
Even though the audience loved the Duck Dynasty star’s exuberant jive, the judges gave a very different response.
“It wasn’t my favorite dance, but you have one more coming up,” said judge Julianne Hough, as the audience booed her negative comments.
The judges gave the 17 year-old a 33 out of 40 for the dance, a devastating score this late in the competition that could easily lead to elimination next week. Knowing that she desperately needed to deliver in her second dance, the pressure was on for Sadie.
Luckily, the judges were singing a very different tune about her foxtrot.
“That was the best trio of the night … fantastic!” judge Len Goodman told Robertson. “I wish I had an 11 paddle!”
And Bruno Tonioli added, “Movie star stunning … I couldn’t tell who was the professional!”
The judges gave Sadie’s second dance a perfect score of 40 out of 40, leaving the overwhelmed teenager in tears. She admitted that the pressure had gotten to her in the second dance, causing her to “forgot the last part” of the routine and forcing her to improvise.
Thankfully, the reality starlet is able to think quickly on her feet, and basically ensured that she will stay in the competition for another week.
