A Houston woman was shopping with her two young children at a Family Dollar location, when a couple of purse-snatching thugs intervened in their plans. Luckily, there was an armed good samaritan nearby who fearlessly came to the family’s aid. Surveillance cameras captured the harrowing incident.
“It happened so fast,” said Brenda Vasquez, manager of the Family Dollar store where the ordeal unfolded. One second the mother was trying to buy some candy for her kids, the next she was being dragged through the parking lot by the thieves attempting to snatch her purse.
The woman held onto her belongings for dear life, even as the thugs tried to drive away dragging her alongside their vehicle. That’s when another shopper stepped in to save her. A man in a PT Cruiser jumped out of his car and brandished his concealed handgun. He pointed the weapon at the punks and ordered them to exit their car. He had them pinned to the ground at gunpoint when police arrived. “That good samaritan came out and drew his weapon and scared them,” relayed Vasquez. “That’s when he pulled them out the car.”
Thomasita Medina captured the event on her cellphone. “It was a crazy day,” she told local news crews. The male and female suspect have been taken into custody and the good samaritan is being hailed as a hero. Luckily, no one was injured
If the left had their way, law-abiding gun owners would have their Second Amendment rights stripped and people like this woman with her children would be left to the mercy of violent criminals. Let us know what you think of this report in the comments section.
