17 year-old Sadie Robertson has garnered national attention over the last few weeks since she began appearing on Dancing With The Stars, but her latest comments are proving that this teen isn’t your average reality star.

During a recent interview, Sadie said her newfound fame has allowed her to express her own personal faith to viewers, instead of just hiding behind her family:

“For my whole life I’ve kind of been shadowing what my family says They’ll say something about my faith and I agree. But now, it’s time for me to say, ‘This is who I am as well.’ I’m not hiding behind my family anymore. I’m sharing my faith by myself, which has helped me to be more bold and more confident saying things. It’s the same God; it’s the same faith. It’s just my opportunity to share it in my words. And I have enjoyed it. It’s been good for me and I’ve grown a lot form it.”

In her latest interviews, Sadie has been opening up about her relationship with Blake Coward, who was “raised in the same kind of family” as she was. While Sadie has said that both she and Coward are saving themselves for marriage, she has admitted that she is not sure that he is “the one:”

“I don’t really date guys who don’t feel the same way. It’s going to be way harder if we went into a relationship having different opinions about that. You never know who you’re going to end up with. Who knows if my boyfriend will be my husband? I’ve always thought that I would marry young, but it just depends on if I have the right guy with me.”

Sadie has been with Blake for 10 months, and she has admitted that being a Christian “doesn’t make it any easier” for her to abstain from having sex with him.

However, judging from her strong convictions, we’re sure that Sadie will always go with God!
