Duck Dynasty Just Made an Announcement That Has Liberals Outraged

Liberals applauded Houston’s lesbian mayor, Annise Parker, for her unconstitutional move to subpoena the sermons of Christian pastors. Those same liberals were furious when Parker’s attempt to quash free speech and religious liberty was shot down. Now, the Left has received another crushing blow to their collective egos, as Phil Robertson has taken an epic stand in support of the Texas pastors.

The Robertson family patriarch knows what it’s like to be persecuted for holding conservative Christian views; the man was branded a racist and a homophobe for quoting the Bible. Never the less, he continues to use his platform as a famous reality TV star to support causes which resonate with his closely-held values.

In response to Parker’s legal battle, a massive religious liberty rally is being planned for November 2 – just two days before the election. It will be held at Grace Community Church in Houston and Phil Robertson will be in attendance. The rally’s website gives this explanation:

“Hosted by Family Research Council and other partners, speakers from across the nation will gather at Grace Community Church in Houston, Texas to focus on the freedom to live out our faith free of government intrusion or monitoring. We will stand with pastors and churches in Houston, Texas who have been unduly intimidated by the city’s Mayor in demanding they hand over private church communication.”

Even for those who are not religious, the situation in Houston, TX should raise some serious concerns. Not only are these pastors being targeted for their faith, their inalienable rights as guaranteed by the Constitution are being attacked. Annise Parker is waging war on those who harbor opinions contradictory to her own and she is being backed by the progressive Left. America would not be America but for the freedoms we have of free speech and religious liberty.
