Four students from Southern Oregon University, which is a public school, were distributing free copies of the US Constitution on campus last Tuesday. Harmless extracurricular activity, right? Not to school administrators.
The students, who are members of the group Students for Concealed Carry, were told that passing out Constitutions in a public area is against school policy and not allowed. School officials demanded that they move to the “free speech area.”
“I would very much like you to leave, if you would, please, because the students have the right to be able to come by here without you guys, you know, invading their space and asking them to do something,” Tim Robitz, director of university housing, told the students.
The students, who apparently have a much better understanding of the Constitution than their educators, stood their ground. “Thank you for coming down here and explaining to us the unconstitutional policies here on campus, but we’re not going to move,” one student told an administrator.
When officials got tired of having logic thrown in their faces by their own students, they threatened to call the police. This is a perfect example of the leftist agenda permeating every corner of the education system in the United States. Show these fearless students your support in the comments section!
