Actress and singer Raven-Symone is best known for her roles on “The Cosby Show” and “That’s So Raven.” Apparently, she is also quite the free thinker, despite having grown up in the land of Hollywood libtards.
During an interview with Oprah, who is right up there with Al Sharpton when it comes to race-baiting, Raven made a bold statement. “I’m tired of being labeled. I’m an American. I’m not an African-American; I’m an American,” she said.
Oprah just about jumped out of her chair at the comment. “Oh, girl, don’t set up Twitter on fire,” she responded. “Oh, my lord. What did you just say?”
Raven explained to her inept interviewer:
“I mean, I don’t know where my roots go to. I don’t know how far back they go…I don’t know what country in Africa I’m from, but I do know that my roots are in Louisiana. I’m an American. And that’s a colorless person. What I really mean by that is I’m an American. That’s what I really mean. I have darker skin. I have a nice, interesting grade of hair. I connect with caucasian. I connect with Asian. I connect with black. I connect with Indian. I connect with each culture.”
Oprah made sure to warn the young actress that she would “get a lot of flak for saying you’re not African-American.” But it looks like the only person taking flak in this situation is Oprah, who apparently detests the notion of being American (even though Americans are the ones who have made her rich).

Raven’s statement echoes the same sentiment as a comment made by legendary actor Bill Cosby, who once remarked about the black community in America, “We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don’t know a thing about Africa.”
It looks like even Tinsel Town is wising up to Oprah’s racist antics. Show Raven-Symone your support in the comments section!
