The Christian baker who was forced to close her shop after refusing to make a lesbian wedding cake spoke out on Monday through an epic Facebook post.
Melissa Klein is a talented baker who owned her own bakery called “Sweet Cakes With Melissa” along with husband Aaron. All was well until January 2013, when the Kleins were approached by lesbians Rachel Cryer and Laurel Bowman and asked to make their wedding cake. The Kleins politely refused, but chaos quickly ensued…
The angry lesbians raised Hell and took the Kleins to court in Oregon, where the judges ruled that the bakery was violating Cryer and Bowman’s civil rights.
“Under Oregon law, Oregonians may not be denied service based on sexual orientation or gender identity,” read a statement by The Bureau of Labor and Industries. “The law provides an exemption for religious organizations and schools, but does not allow private business owners to discriminate based on sexual orientation, just as they cannot legally deny service based on race, sex, age, disability or religion.”
Thanks to their stance on gay marriage, the Kleins were forced to close their bakery in September of 2013 and now struggle to operate their business out of their home. They also struggle with daily harassment from angry liberals who support gay marriage.
The Kleins have stayed relatively silent on the situation, until now. On Monday, Melissa spoke out on their Facebook page to reveal the two lies our country is now facing:
The Kleins also appeared at the Values Voters Summit last Friday, where Melissa broke down as she described her family’s ordeal.
“To be told they’re going to force me to convey a message other than what I want to convey — it flies in the face of the Constitution,” said Aaron Klein. ”It’s a violation of my conscience. It’s a violation of my religious freedom. It’s horrible to see your own government doing this to you.”
While the Kleins lives have been ruined, lesbians Rachel and Laurel are riding high. They are happily married and have the support of libtards everywhere. Judging from this photo, however, the Kleins were doing them a favor: these women might want to lay off the cake…
