Glen Doherty was one of the two Marine SEAL contractors killed in the 2012 Benghazi attacks. After watching the Obama Administration sweep his death under the rug for the past two years, Doherty’s family has decided to step up and hit the government where it hurts.
Barbara Doherty, the fallen SEAL’s mother, has filed a lawsuit suing the CIA and the State Department for $1 million dollars each. The wrongful death lawsuit alleges that there was not adequate security at the U.S. compound in Benghazi. In light of whistleblowers who have recently come forward revealing that they were told to stand down when they could have helped the American Benghazi victims, Doherty’s case look to be a slam dunk. Never the less, with the Department of Justice in the palm of his hand, Obama is not above making a few shady back room deals which could put the lawsuit in jeopardy of succeeding.
Barbara Doherty commented:
“We know Glen would have done anything to support the United States and protect our freedom as Americans. Two years after the Benghazi attack, our family has not received the symbolic justice all families of such American heroes deserve.”
