Last week, legendary comedienne Joan Rivers stopped breathing during a routine surgery on her vocal cords. According to The Daily Mail, she is now on life support and her family is currently deciding whether to keep her there or take her off the machines.

Sources close to Joan say that she is currently relying on the machines to stay alive and that her family, including beloved daughter Melissa Rivers, will need to make their life or death decision very soon.

Melissa, who is extremely close to her mother and is also in show business, rushed to her mother’s side on Friday as doctors put Joan into a medically induced coma. Doctors are eager to keep her in the coma as they try to figure out how much brain function she still has, since they are very concerned about how long she was deprived of oxygen.

Meanwhile, the support has continued to pour in for Joan from her many celebrity friends. Everyone from Charlie Sheen to Donald Trump took to twitter to express their hope that Joan will recover.

What do you think? Should her family keep her on life support as long as possible, or should they let her go? Let us know in the comments below!
