As Tim Tebow has remained strong in his faith, he’s faced his fair share of opposition, but he’s never wavered. One recent incident however, not only shows just what kind of guy Tim Tebow really is, but why he deserved a whole lot more respect than he gets.
Tim Tebow has created a program known as “W15H,” in which a child, usually suffering from a fatal illness, is granted a wish that they’d otherwise never be able to experience. According to the foundation’s site:
Each year, the Tim Tebow Foundation creates more than 20 official W15H experiences by providing deserving children with travel, accommodations, daily activities, meals, gifts and one-on-one time with Tim.
W15H has granted over 40 official W15H experiences at many venues including NFL Games, Award Shows, Disney World and more.
Most recently, it was Haley’s turn – a 15 year old girl with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Simply wanting to just meet Tim Tebow, he did just that, but treated her like a princess in the mean time.
While she and her family visited Scottsdale, Arizona, she was put up in the presidential suite of a local hotel, given an airplane tour of the Grand Canyon and even got to throw the opening pitch at a Diamondbacks game. Throughout her visit, Tebow was right there beside Haley and her family, prayed with them and provided them the experience of a lifetime.
Even if for just a moment, Haley actually forgot about her ailment and was able to just be the kid she deserved to be. Wouldn’t it be nice if the world had a few more Tim Tebows in it?
