A 24-year-old Baltimore man has been robbed and stabbed by a gang of four black thugs. He is currently in critical condition in a local hospital.
As reported by CBS Baltimore:
Early Monday morning around 4:20 a.m. officers were called to the 1200-block of Wall Street for a reported stabbing. When officers arrived they located 24-year-old Sal Schittino suffering from multiple stab wounds to his body.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Schittino was attacked by four black males between the ages of 16 and 18, who had been riding on mopeds.
One of the suspects got off his moped and approached the Schittino. After assaulting Schittino, the suspect took his wallet and personal belongings.
By all accounts, Schittino is a commendable young man, unlike the thugs who attacked him. He graduated from Loyola Blakefield High School and went on to play basketball at Washington College. As you can see from the video above, he was driven, determined, and dedicated. He had a bright future ahead of him. Now, all we can do is pray that four black thugs didn’t cut that future short.
Sal Schittino’s brother-in-law, Greg Will, told a local news station:
“We’re distraught. It’s really shocking. It’s hitting his liver, collapsing his lung and puncturing his heart twice. He’s just a very friendly person and he wants to be everybody’s friend and he’s nice to everybody and it’s just stunning that this would happen to someone as nice as him. He nearly died. Luckily, he was young (and in) very good shape. If this could happen to Sal, this could happen to anybody. He’s a really good person, and we want to get the people that done this off the streets so that they don’t do it again. Please keep Sal in your prayers and please if you know anything that can help us find the people, please, please come forward.”
Anyone with information which could help to catch the delinquents who seriously injured Schittino is being asked to call 410-396-2499.
