As the death of Michael Brown continues to circulate, all the while stoking the flames of racial tensions, it seems that riots are breaking out nationwide. The latest of cities to be effected was New Orleans, Louisiana, where a massive group of demonstrators began to riot.
The protesters marched through the city’s French Quarter without a permit shouting, “Hands up! Don’t Shoot! Hands Up Don’t Shoot!,” as they eventually made their way to the amphitheater on the Mississippi River across from St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
The crowd grew silent as a speaker, with an apparent relation to Mike Brown spoke to the masses before the group took off again, this time shouting, “What do we want? Justice! When do we want it? NOW!” In an apparent show, the protestors made their way to the police station where they further demanded justice for Brown.
What do you think – is yelling at officers completely unrelated to the Mike Brown case really helping anything? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
